#ProjectLimitless aims to provide every child in the UK who needs one with access to a prosthetic arm. The project has already helped more than 100 children - and is now on the lookout for more!
If your child is under 18, and has an upper arm limb difference – either below elbow or partial hand - then you can register your details and join the waiting list.
There is an exciting opportunity from the University of Bath to take part in research which aims to develop a system to improve the control of upper-limb prostheses. Following a survey there is the chance to participate in prototype testing.
8 in 10,000 children are born with limb differences and 1 million amputations are performed worldwide every year BUT there is little research into the psychological experience of those with limb differences.
We have an exciting opportunity coming up to collaborate with the University of Essex Psychology Department and not only participate in their studies but identify research topics which we believe will benefit the community. In order to collect the data and highlight the need for such research the first thing we need to do is participate! To find out more about the university's work and sign up click below!
Our team are committed to increasing visibility, knowledge sharing and creating a community for those with limb differences. Think you would be a good fit? Contact us!
